Faculty Accomplishments

Dr. Claudia Marin accepted the invitation to participate as the keynote speaker at the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP)-Colloquium: Improving seismic resiliency of buildings and their contents using passive systems: A research overview.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) commends the Howard University Transportation Research and Data Center (HUTRC) for Crash Data Improvement. Through the support of Dr. Stephen Arhin and HUTRC staff, the crash data quality has consistently improved, leading to the District of Columbia’s overall good rating since 2008. This has been highlighted as “a phenomenal accomplishment for the District” by the Field Administrator of the FMCSA.

Dr. Robert Efimba received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and was also featured on the cover of the Winter 2018 issue of the Tau Beta Pi magazine, THE BENT.
